On Jan. 1st, 1980 the Cattron's bought
the Neely Lumber & Supply Co. from Mr.
Ray Neely and renamed it, Cattron's Lumber
& Supply. The business was then located
at 317 W. Clark St. in downtown Negaunee.
In 1991 the Cattrons moved the business to
its present location at 800 US 41W.- in Negaunee.
They purchased the former Hi-Lo Club which
they remodeled and also added drive-through
warehouses for storage of their inventory.

Some
of the changes they have seen since 1980 are:
Enlarging
from a staff of 3-4 employees to 15-20.
Computerized
estimates, and inventory control are now accomplished
much quicker and enable them to keep stock up-to-date.
The use of material handeling equipment is another
great time saver over putting inventory away
by hand.
Moving
from offering just building materials to a full-service
building center. They keep a large stock of
everything an individual or contractor would
need for building or remodeling a residential
or commercial building.
